Welcome to Issue 15

We are delighted to exclusively reveal our Player Of The Month winners for September 2025 - in memory of Chris Hoff. This is a club wide award, nominated and voted for by our volunteer workforce of over 100 coaches. A winner is chosen from all of our female players and all of our male players - of all ages - and the winners are revealed if you continue reading!

We are also launching a competition for all of our players to enter to suggest a new club motto. Hessle Rangers turns 50 years old in 2026 and alongside a modernising of the club badge, we would love to include a contribution from the players to design a new club motto. The link is below.

Amongst a busy weekend of football, Hessle Rangers launched a new U7 Girls team who became the first team in the club to ever play the 3v3 format, which the East Riding Girls Football League are trialling this season - ahead of it's launch for all U7s next season. It was certainly an interesting experience but, the girls loved playing and scored plenty of goals along with opponents Beverley Town and Kingswood United. Well done, girls!

Player Of The Month - Female Pathway

This month's female pathway Player Of The Month winner for September 2025 - in memory of Chris Hoff - is VIOLET from Hessle Rangers U8 Girls and Hessle Rangers U7 Hurricanes.

Violet is brand new to playing football and has impressed everyone with her bravery and ability in matches. She is a lovely, quiet girl but shows so much strength and skill. Violet has joined a "boys" team in the Hurricanes and shows just as much fight playing against mostly boys in the HDYFL as well as the commitment to train twice as often.

Well done, Violet!

Player Of The Month - Male Pathway

Our male pathway Player Of The Month winner for September 2025 - in memory of Chris Hoff - is OLLIE from Hessle Rangers U8 Azzurri!

Ollie is in his second season with the Azzurri. He has lacked a bit of self-belief but, always trained hard and enjoys his football. At the start of this season, he’s started playing mostly as a defender and has been outstanding, showing his ability to win the ball, use his strength when in possession and make good decisions when on the ball. He is a shining example that playing enough is the way to improve your skill level and confidence.

We are so proud of you, Ollie!

In the Spotlight - U13 Girls

Hessle Rangers U13 Girls play in the East Riding Girls League and are managed by Ben. The girls are an U12 team who have chosen to play up a year after a couple of successful seasons.

Six of the girls have played for the team all the way from the introductory U8 league and the whole group are fantastic friends with great chemistry who all feel like they've been together from the start.

Thank you to Armstrong Massey, used car specialists of Driffield for sponsoring the girls' home kit. We also thank JLP Scaffolding Ltd, who offer a comprehensive range of scaffolding services for domestic and commercial clients in the Hull area, for their sponsorship of the girls' change kit.

Thank you so much to Armstrong Massey and JLP Scaffolding Ltd for their incredible support.
