Welcome To Issue 2
Thank You to everyone who subscribed and read the first issue of the Newsletter. We hope it helped, and continues to help you feel part of the club. Hessle Rangers is currently a club of 39 individual teams and one of the struggles of an organisation that size is to make everyone feel part of the full club, understand what it stands for and keep in touch with the challenges it faces and the goals it has. We want to keep bringing you that information on a weekly basis, such as the article below on the costs associated with the club and exactly where your money goes.
Where Do My Subs Go?
We’re occassionally asked by members what they are paying for when they pay subs into their team. Hessle Rangers is a transparent organisation and we are happy to share exact details with any players or parents.
The football club is a CIC - community interest company - and it is, by definition, a not for profit organisation. No-one is paid a salary. The club is run from top to bottom by hard-working volunteers. The club runs at break even most years, sometimes losing money requiring that income is increased, and charges exactly what it requires to deliver football for our junior and senior players.
Hessle Rangers operates a hierarchical payment system. Players/parents pay their subs into their team, the team pays subs into the club and the club organises and pays for all pitches, facilities and bills. When players/parents pay their subs into the team, that money is split approximately 50/50 between the team and the club.

U9 Aces Complete Fundraiser!
As part of our ongoing Bilsdon Park Development Project, all Hessle Rangers teams have been challenged to run their own fundraiser. This has two key aims. The first is to generate as much money as possible for the project, obviously! The second is to demonstrate to the Football Foundation - who we hope to apply for a significant part of the funding from - that the whole club is engaged and aware of the project.
The U9 Aces were the latest team to complete their activity, a three-legged walk around Bilsdon Park, raising a fantastic £585. Well done team, you are awesome!

Safeguarding For All
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Have you taken the short Safeguarding For All course from England Football?
This short safeguarding for parents course is designed to help you to make an informed choice about the football setting you enrol your child in. It starts by explaining the importance of safeguarding in football and the child-centred approach the game takes.
Hessle Rangers Welfare Officer is Victoria Thompson (07889 567559)
