Issue 7 - Happy Mothers Day!
We hope all of our wonderful "Footy Mums" had a great Mothering Sunday. It certainly didn't stop them being out in force on the touchlines and we were able to share some fantastic photos of our boys and girls with their Mums after the games this weekend.
Thank you so much for your incredible support, bringing the players to games and training, paying subs and buying hot drinks and sandwiches, running fundraisers and helping out around the club. The game wouldn't work without parents and the good ones are rarely thanked enough.

Derby delight for Rangers!
Hessle Rangers overcame Hessle Sporting in the Humber Premier League (HPL) on Saturday winning 4-1 in a crazy game on Wolfreton 3G filled with goals, penalties, red cards, sin bins and drama.
It was a vital win for Rangers who languish towards the bottom of the HPL and were cheered on by Hessle Rangers U8 Pumas who turned out in force to support the men.
Rangers have had a tough couple of seasons fighting relegation from the HPL but have achieved plenty in that time, notably bringing through young players - many of whom have been in the club since First Touch Football, our Saturday morning sessions for 4-7 year olds.
After Lewis Sarel gave Rangers the lead on Saturday, Sporting equalised before one such First Touch graduate, George Burton scored a second half hat-trick to win the game. George was signed by Scunthorpe United as a junior but returned to Hessle Rangers after the dissolution of The Iron's youth section and has taken to men's football like a duck to water. Burton converted a penalty after Sam Jackson was fouled in the penalty area, broke away soon after to make it 3-1 with a cool finish and then completed his hat-trick late on with another clinical counter-attack.
Another youngster from First Touch Football, 16 year old Kayden Andreang has made several substitute appearances in the HPL of late and started his first game on Saturday, completing the full 90 minutes.
It is incredible to see the full club pathway in evidence. Well done, fellas!

Player Of The Month - Female Pathway
We can exclusively reveal February's "Chris Hoff" players of the month in the newsletter. The winner for the Female pathway comes from Hessle Rangers U9 Girls - Well done, Annie!
Annie's enthusiasm and willingness to learn has helped her develop hugely over the last few months and she has been able to translate this into her game. She does everything with a smile on her face and works hard to be fully involved in every session. Annie has tried new positions, scored goals, and showed some great awareness in covering for teammates when they are pushing forward.
Well done, Annie, you little superstar!

Player Of The Month - Male Pathway
February's "Chris Hoff" player of the month for the full Male pathway comes from Hessle Rangers U8 Pumas - Well done, Bailey!
Bailey has taken some time to adapt to paying in his first season but has shown all the qualities of a top team player! He listens to instruction, has great determination and love for the game and keeps thinking a lot more about his football - looking for space, finding spaces to pass into and hitting the target. He will always put his hand up to volunteer for anything and is showing his team-mates a great example to follow.
Your coaches are very proud of you, Bailey. Well done, superstar!
